Privacy policy BSB GROUP B.V.

This privacy policy explains how BSB GROUP B.V. processes and protects personal data. Transparency and security come first.

1. Who is responsible?

BSB GROUP B.V. is the controller for the processing of personal data through this website. We act in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Which data do we collect?

We only collect data needed to handle your question, request or contact enquiry. This may include:

  • Name and contact details
  • Company name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Message or request details

3. Why do we use this data?

We use the collected data for:

  • Answering your messages
  • Processing requests for machines, service or inspections
  • Sharing information about our products and services

4. Cookies and similar techniques

This website uses Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are visited — but only after you have given consent through the cookie banner. If you choose "Decline" or make no choice, Google Analytics is not loaded and this website sets no analytics cookies; the site works just fine without it. With consent, visit data is processed by Google; IP addresses are anonymised in the process. You can revisit your choice at any time by clearing this site's stored preferences in your browser.

Beyond that, this website only stores functional preferences in your browser — for example your cookie choice or a dismissed language suggestion. These are kept on your own device (in localStorage) and are not sent to us or to third parties.

4a. Server-side usage statistics

To understand how our site is used (number of visitors, which pages are popular, how often "View stock" is clicked) we record a limited set of non-identifying data on our own server, in our own Supabase project within the EU. Specifically:

  • Page path, referring URL, country (derived from your IP address; only the country is stored)
  • Browser type (user-agent string)
  • A random session ID created per browser session, which disappears as soon as you close the tab
  • A hashed version of your IP address (SHA-256 with a secret salt) — purely to count how many unique visitors we have. The original IP address is never stored and cannot be recovered from the hash.

This data is not shared with third parties, not linked to other sources, and not used for advertising or profiling. We use it to improve our own website. If you fill in the contact form yourself, we also link this data to your request so we can help you better.

5. Sharing with third parties

Your personal data is not sold to third parties without your consent. We may share information with partners needed to process your request, such as form services.

6. Retention period

Data is not kept longer than necessary for the purpose it was collected for, unless a legal obligation requires a longer period. A fixed term applies to the usage statistics from section 4a: they are deleted automatically after 12 months.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, or to restrict its processing. Contact us at info@bsbmachines.nl for any request.
