Forklift inspection in the Netherlands, from €125 per truck
We inspect forklifts, reach trucks, stackers and pallet trucks at your own site. You receive an inspection certificate for the Dutch Labour Inspectorate and a condition report that tells you what the coming year will bring. All brands, English-speaking, based in Venlo.
Why inspection is mandatory in the Netherlands
If your company operates equipment in the Netherlands, Dutch working conditions law applies to it, whatever language your team speaks. The Working Conditions Decree (Arbobesluit, article 7.4a) requires work equipment that is subject to deterioration, through wear, load and age, to be periodically inspected by a qualified expert. A forklift is a textbook example: it lifts loads daily, the mast is under constant stress, chains stretch and brakes wear.
The law does not name a fixed interval. It says inspection must happen as often as necessary. For a truck in daily use, once every twelve months is the accepted norm, and it is the baseline that insurers and the Dutch Labour Inspectorate work from. Shift operations or harsh conditions can mean shorter intervals.
Two points are often missed by international site managers. First, the inspection must be done by a qualified expert; your own mechanic being handy with trucks does not automatically qualify. Second, the proof must be available at the workplace. A certificate in a binder at a head office abroad does not help you when an inspector is standing in your warehouse in Venlo.
What an inspection costs
We publish our prices, which is unusual in this market. Most providers in the Netherlands make you call and wait for a quote. We think that is unnecessary: an inspection is a well-defined job with a predictable price.
- From €125 per truck for a single inspection at your site, within our service area. The call-out is included.
- From €95 per truck for three or more machines at one site, when combined with a maintenance service, or when you bring the machine to our workshop in Venlo.
Prices exclude VAT. They are from-prices: the exact figure depends on the machine type and on what else is on your premises, and you hear it when you book, before we come. For EU businesses outside the Netherlands with a valid VAT number, we invoice under the reverse-charge mechanism.
Our service area, and beyond
Within North Limburg and the southeast of Brabant, roughly Venlo, Venray, Roermond, Weert, Helmond and Eindhoven, we come to you at no call-out charge. Elsewhere in the Netherlands we come from three machines at one site. For one or two machines further away, you can bring the truck to Venlo at the lower rate, or we quote the call-out in advance.

How it works
- You book. Through the request form (in Dutch, but we reply in English), by phone or WhatsApp. Tell us how many machines and where.
- We schedule. You hear the day and time slot. With several machines we plan around when they can best be missed.
- We come to you. The inspector works through the machines on site. Allow about 45 minutes per truck; a series goes faster.
- Visual and functional checks. Frame, mast, forks, chains, hydraulics, tyres, brakes, steering, battery, safety devices, lights, horn and emergency stop. Then a driving test: lifting, lowering, tilting, braking, controls.
- Result on the spot. You hear the verdict immediately. Small items, a loose bolt, a missing decal, we usually fix straight away.
- Sticker and paperwork. Approved machines get an inspection sticker with the date, and you receive the certificate and condition report digitally.
What you receive
Two documents, with two different jobs. The inspection certificate is your legal proof: which machine, when, by whom, and the verdict. Keep it at the site, not only in the administration. The condition report is your practical document: per component, how the machine stands and what will need replacing on a foreseeable horizon. Chains near their stretch limit, tyres with one season left, a battery that is fading: you read it there before it becomes a breakdown.
If a machine fails, you get the defect and the repair cost in writing. You decide who fixes it. After repair, we re-inspect.

Linde, Jungheinrich, Toyota, Still, Hyster, Yale, Mitsubishi, Clark, Manitou and more, including machines you did not buy from us. We also inspect loading docks, ladders, racking, aerial work platforms and battery chargers, in the same visit, so one appointment covers the whole site.
